EMERGENCY CONTACT AT CLASH CAMP 2019

In the case of an emergency, we will be providing all parents with a direct number to contact us at camp as well as a texting service to provide updates in case an emergency does arise.

This phone number will be given out as we get closer to departing for Clash Camp 2019.

CELL PHONE STRATEGY

Students are allowed to bring their cell phones, but please do not call your students during sessions or devotional time. We will monitor their personal use and confiscate phones as needed.

Mandatory Parent Night

The mandatory parent night will be held on Wednesday, July 17 at 7:00 PM in the main sanctuary of the Van Dyke campus.

Parents will receive vital information, including but not limited to meeting your student’s counselor, receiving bunking info, and your student’s war games team bandana.

DROP-OFF

Check in and drop off will be happening in the main lobby of the Van Dyke campus, at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 24.

Note: We cannot accommodate early arrivals.

PICK-UP

We will return to the Van Dyke campus on the afternoon of Saturday, July 27 between 2:00-3:00 PM.

WHAT TO BRING

Your student will need a Bible, sunscreen, bug spray, tennis shoes, a change of clothes for 4 days, toiletries, towel, swimsuit, and a sleeping bag. Please LABEL everything with your student’s name. a more comprehensive list will be provided through email following the parent meeting.

Students will need spending money for Clash Camp 2019 merchandise and snacks in our camp store. All other meals and drinks will be provided as a part of your clash camp registration.

We recommend that you pack all of your student’s items in one wheeled luggage carrier or duffle bag. Whatever they bring, they are responsible for carrying.

WHAT NOT TO BRING

Students are asked to leave skateboards, fireworks, iPods, iPads, pets & animals at home. Clash Camp is for building a better relationship with God, family, and friends.

DRESS CODE

Our dress code rule is that if you can’t wear it to school, don’t wear it to Clash Camp. Please also bring comfortable clothes for recreational activities outside and a bathing suit.

Ladies – please, only one-piece modest bathing suits or tankinis.

MEDICATION POLICY

If your student will be bringing any medications with them to Clash Camp we REQUIRE our “Medicine Distribution Paper” be turned in with the medicine on Wednesday, July 24. All medicine needs to be completely labeled with your student’s name and placed in a gallon Ziploc bag. The “Medicine Distribution Paper” can be printed at home and turned in, picked up at the parent meeting on Wednesday, July 17 or on the day of camp Wednesday, July 24.

COUNSELORS

Clash Camp counselors are leaders at Grace Family Church and all counselors have been through a background screening and interview.

What is War Games?

War games is our way of having a little bit of friendly competition. We will have two sessions of War games, and the teams will have the opportunity to compete in outdoor recreational games to win points for their team.

How Can I earn points?

You can earn points for your team by playing War games, posting to Instagram using the hashtag #clashcamp2019.

When do I find out my War Games Team?

War Games teams will be announced at the mandatory parent night, on July 17 at 7:00 PM, in the main lobby of the Van Dyke campus.

What Games are we Playing?

Earth-Ball volleyball, Tube Tug, Ultimate Everything, Kiddie Pool Kickball & Magic Mattress Ride.
